The "Game of Thrones" winner mentions actor Martin Henderson, a dwarf who was crippled after being attacked outside a bar.
After winning a best supporting actor Golden Globe for his role in HBO's Game of Thrones, Peter Dinklage seized the spotlight to raise awareness of a crime committed against Martin Henderson, a British actor and dwarf.
"I want to mention a gentleman I'm thinking about in England: his name is Martin Henderson," said Dinklage, while accepting his trophy. He added: "Google him."
Dinklage, who dropped Henderson's name toward the end of his speech on Sunday, made a clear effort to bring attention to what happened to Henderson in October of last year.
According to The Sun, a British newspaper, Henderson had been standing outside a pub on his 37th birthday when someone picked him up and dropped him on the ground, injuring his back and legs. He was not able to recover, and must now walk on crutches and use a wheelchair. So far, no arrests have been made.
Henderson told the newspaper he thought the incident might have been inspired by a dwarf-tossing competition in New Zealand attended by English rugby players several weeks beforehand.
"The England players had been in trouble for going to a dwarf tossing event and this might have given this guy the idea," he said.
Henderson's acting credits include roles in the British TV series Bigger Breakfast and 10th Kingdom.

ABC has resurrected their cancelled Wife Swap reality series with a new twist — celebrity spouses change places with one another. The seventh season of Wife Swap, akaCelebrity Wife Swap, typically airs Monday nights on the ABC network.

It was in second place for its 10pm timeslot and out-performed the previous two original episodes of Castle (on November 21st and December 5th). It also retained 100% of The Bachelor’s lead-in audience ratings. The fifth season premiere of Wife Swap, which aired on a Friday night in April 2010, registered just a 1.2 in the demo and 3.48 million.
Reference point: The 2009-10 season averaged a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers.

MIAMI — LeBron James' first order of business in 2012: Drop to one knee and ask longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson to be his wife.
Yes, she said yes.
Moments after ringing in the new year, James surprised his high school sweetheart by popping the question – letting very few people in on the secret beforehand. He did it at a party both to celebrate New Year's Eve and his 27th birthday, which was Friday.
"My girl, she's very excited," James said Sunday night after he and the Miami Heat beat Charlotte 129-90. "She would love to answer more questions about it than me. But she's happy, my family's happy and that's what it's about."
With a number of teammates and close friends looking on, James pulled off a bit of a sneak attack. He and Brinson had discussed marriage in the past, but amid the din of ringing in 2012, she didn't expect the two-time NBA MVP to get on bended knee at that moment.
"It was beautiful," Heat teammate Chris Bosh said. "I told him, `Good luck.' It was nice. It was real nice."
The news got out quickly among James' inner circle, with close friend Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and Heat owner Micky Arison among those tweeting their congratulations before the New Years' parties were winding down.
Heat teammate Dwyane Wade was in charge of holding the ring until the big moment.
"It's very nice," Wade said. "Very nice. They have good taste. ... To me, it felt like he was on his knee for an hour. It was probably like 35 seconds. It was great. I feel so happy for them and their entire family."
James and Brinson are the parents of two sons.
"I had no idea it was coming," Bosh said. "I just heard some commotion, and yeah, there it was. It was nice. It was real cool."
No wedding date has been announced.
"It should be a surprise for any woman anytime something like that happens," James said. "She was surprised. It was great that all the friends and family were there to bring in a new year. Even my kids were happy about it, so that's good. ... I feel good. I feel good. It's a good point in my life right now."

The superstar spent the last night of 2011 partying with friends and flirting with the mystery man at Soho House in West Hollywood.
One witness told the New York Post, "Katy was in a private room with a group and she seemed to be in a great mood. She spent most of the night dancing and laughing with friends.
The witness added that Perry looked so carefree that, "One wouldn't have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall."
Brand filed divorce papers in Los Angeles last Friday after just 14 months of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."
It was reported that their split came after a series of rows and over Brand's frustration at 27-year-old Perry's refusal to put motherhood ahead of her career.
Brand, a reformed heroin addict and now teetotaler, had made it no secret that he wanted to have children with Perry, telling "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last month, "I would like one [a baby]. I love those little babies in the beginning."
The "Firework" singer married the British star in India on October 23, 2010. Rumors were rife over the past six months that their relationship was on the rocks, with Brand regularly seen out without his wedding ring.

(Reuters) - Actor Jeremy Renner scuffed around Hollywood for a decade before his career took off in 2009 when he was nominated for an Oscar in his starring role in the bomb-disposal war drama "The Hurt Locker."
Renner didn't win the award, although the film earned the best movie Oscar. He followed "Hurt Locker" with another Oscar-nominated role in "The Town" and did a cameo in this year's blockbuster "Thor."
Now he's starring opposite Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," the "MI" franchise's fourth film that is No. 1 at box offices over the holidays.
Renner, 40, spoke to Reuters about how he landed the role, working with Cruise, and rumors he may take over the franchise when Cruise, nine years his senior, tires of it.
Q: Is it true you went in to discuss a possible role in "Super 8" when you were offered "MI4" instead?
A: "It's true. I was discussing 'Super 8' with J.J. Abrams, who directed that and produced ("MI4"), and that was a very secretive project too, and within a few hours I'd met Tom Cruise and ("MI4" director) Brad Bird. I went in for one movie and came out with another!"
Q: Does that happen a lot?
A: "Not to me. It's very strange. I called people and said, 'You won't believe what just happened.' It was crazy and I was shocked to suddenly be in 'MI4.' But it was so easy, sitting down with Tom and Brad. It's this fantastic fun franchise ... And there was no script then. They just pitched me the whole story, where my character was at, and it all made sense. It was very easy to say, 'Yes.'"
Q: You play the uptight analyst. Is there much of you in him?
A: "I can get very nervous about stuff, and I have to do something to relieve that nervousness -- it's not something disgusting or pornographic -- and Tom thought it was pretty funny and he put it in the movie. My character is complicated, and I really liked that. He starts off as this very buttoned-up desk-jockey type, and then things happen and there's more than meets the eye to him, which is always interesting."
Q: Any surprises working with Cruise?
A: "Just how dedicated he is. I think he has 48 hours in a day, compared to our 24. He gets so much done and is so focused. He has this childlike outlook, where he's constantly learning and growing all the time. He has this immense amount of energy because he's so excited about what he's doing. He loves what he does, and that's awesome to be around. It's infectious."
Q: There's a rumor that you may take over the franchise.
A: "I heard that. I hear lots of rumors -- that I'm sleeping with half of Hollywood -- and I'm like, 'who has the time?' No, it's not true about 'Mission: Impossible.' There's no taking over. It's not happening.
Q: Next year you do take over the "Bourne" franchise, though.
A: "Yeah, but I'm not playing Jason Bourne and taking over from Matt Damon. It's called "Bourne Legacy," and it's a sort of continuation of the story, but not based on a book like the others. I'm loving doing it, though it's very different from Mission. It feels very small and contained by comparison. It's action-heavy but not stunt-heavy with big spectacle stunts. It's more hands-on and gritty."
Q: Your career is red hot. Ever been down and out?
A: "Of course! Most of my career's been down, not up."
Q: What was your lowest point?
A: "There's loads of those. I had stretches where I couldn't afford the electric bill, but I was still alive and kicking -- and still smiling. That's the most important thing. Even in my darkest hour, I was still happy doing what I do. I never considered ever giving up. Not once."
Q: What do you do when you're not working on movies?
A: "I'm very active. I love skiing, building houses, and music's still a big part of my life. I used to have a garage band, and now I love writing songs. It's a great outlet as it only needs me. I don't need scripts or a whole film crew. It can happen instantaneously."

Regal Films’ “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” has been disqualified in major categories of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night.
According to MMFF executive chairman Francis Tolentino, the board disqualified the Maricel Soriano-Gabby Concepcion starrer in winning major awards in this year’s MMFF because Regal Films changed the pre-approved cast and storyline of the movie and it is against the rules of the festival.
“Final na po. Ibig sabihin ay disqualification from major awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay at Gatpuno Villegas Cultural awards,” said Tolentino in an interview by ABS-CBNNews.com.
“Ang vioation po ay they deviated (from the script). Under the rule kung ano ang approved, hindi na po dapat palitan,” he added.
Producer Lily Monteverde claims that Regal advised the MMFF committee about the changes in the film but Tolentino said otherwise.
“Hindi po sila nag-advise. Nagsabi lang sila ng change sa casting pero sa script hindi sila nag-advise. Nag-advise sila ng November 23 sa cast. Pero the script po ay nagbago,” Tolentino said.
This means “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” will only be competing for the technical categories like Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, etc., in the awarding ceremony which is happening tonight, December 28.
