Katy Perry spotted with mystery man days after Russell Brand filed for divorce
The superstar spent the last night of 2011 partying with friends and flirting with the mystery man at Soho House in West Hollywood.
One witness told the New York Post, "Katy was in a private room with a group and she seemed to be in a great mood. She spent most of the night dancing and laughing with friends.
The witness added that Perry looked so carefree that, "One wouldn't have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall."
Brand filed divorce papers in Los Angeles last Friday after just 14 months of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."
It was reported that their split came after a series of rows and over Brand's frustration at 27-year-old Perry's refusal to put motherhood ahead of her career.
Brand, a reformed heroin addict and now teetotaler, had made it no secret that he wanted to have children with Perry, telling "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last month, "I would like one [a baby]. I love those little babies in the beginning."
The "Firework" singer married the British star in India on October 23, 2010. Rumors were rife over the past six months that their relationship was on the rocks, with Brand regularly seen out without his wedding ring.

The short lived marriage between Katty Perry and Russel Brand just shows us that people are not perfect. Humbleness in order for a marriage to survive. Emotions that trigger us to declare quits to our partners are sometimes not really of our own. It is our pride that tells us that we are somebody and we can find better partners if we want to. Revenge or the urge to get back at our partners may cause cause the marriage to fail. The best thing to do is calm down and try to talk it out. God teaches us humility and it also results in good marriages.
She is so young and so beautiful, isn't it? Too bad, she is married too young.
